The Silver Lake home was beautiful! My family had a very nice time.
We easily found everything we wanted! It is very well appointed and convenient. My 10 year old loved the sand. She even went wading up to her knees a couple of times... I stepped into the water and right back out...just a bit too cold for me :)
We loved our stay and would definitely love to come back!!

I am writing to express my happiness with our stay in June 2007. I could not have asked for a more perfect weekend. My husband and I went up with our two year old daughter, his two brothers, his sister and their fiancee's and stayed at the East Silver Lake house. I noticed that when we first arrived to the area that we were really close to town, which was great for those quick trips to the store. Then we arrived at this beautiful house we were awed by the breath taking view and the open spacey rooms. It was more than enough room for all of us.
The living room looked out over the lake which was so nice with my morning coffee- gorgeous. Although we were close to town, we did not venture from the house there were many things to do right there. We were able to take the boat and go fishing in the morning and float on the calm lake. And when the afternoon rolled around we would come in for a food break and off again to go knee boarding and tubing. There were many places to go and swim and the lake was clear and uncrowded, that made it really nice. After a full day of being on the boat we returned for dinner and a campfire. The kitchen had everything I needed for each meal. We all had such a wonderful time, including my daughter. She loved playing on the beach and riding in the boat. By the time Sunday came no one wanted to leave. All of us agreed that because we had such a good time that we liked the house and the lake so much that we would turn it into an annual event and return next year. I would highly recommend it to everyone looking for a great vacation spot. Thank you, The Hoffman's

The Hutchison's and Gleasons vacationed here with 11 girls. My favorite part of the vacation was:
-using the pontoon boat and the house itself - Anna 12 yrs old
-to see different types of birds and fishes! Carrie L. 14 yrs old
-Everything, this vacation was great - Monica G
-This was a great vacation and I loved catching fish and swimming - Mary 9 yrs old
-This vacation was extremely fun. I loved fishing and going on the boat. Rebecca 14 yrs old. (I also got to climb the 450 drop)
-I liked the beach and especially the fish. Everything was fun. Carolyn 13 yrs old
-It was the best vacation I ever had. Kathleen 11 yrs. Old
-I really enjoyed swimming and tanning on the beach with the wild swans!! Adriana 17 yrs old
-I had a great time at this beautiful lake house and enjoyed the surrounding activities in town : Andrea 19
-The Sand Dune climb was fun and Traverse City downtown was great during the Film Festival. Kamela
-This is me again, Mary Kelly. This was so much fun we did tie-dye and I'm wearing it now and that was fun we did tubing we had a campfire with s'mores. We went to the dune mountains. Miss you all me again

-I enjoyed visiting the Carmelite Monastary on w. Silver Lake Road. The parishioners/priest at St. Patrick's Catholic Church were friendly too. A great relaxing vacation! Colana

Brian, Sallee, Logan (water man), Craig, Tammy, Andrew, Char and Sally wish to tell you how beautiful this home is and how we are enjoying our visit here. However the fish have not been as responsive as we had planned. 9 This has been a most memorable week spent with my dearest friend Char and her wonderful family in this very beautiful setting! Awesome house…The bar room is great. Lots of great times this week. Too bad the boat wasn't working, but that is just one of those things. Did a lot of day trips.

10-19 to 10-21 Fords, Rios and Milehams
This house is beautiful and we will never go back to cramming into hotel rooms! The kids (all 8 of them) had a great time and were sad to leave. The beds in the master bedroom and smaller downstairs room were more comfortable than our own! Overall, it was a great weekend and a lovely place to spend it. Kelli F.
